Every end has its beginning!

When I first had the idea of shooting this documentary Sachamama, it was a tiny little thought. But more and more this little flame started to grow until now to a big barnfire. What I learned about this project was not only about myself during the work with the plants and my travels, more it was the fact, that when you are chasing an idea and you don´t stop believe in the final result of it ... then one day the little idea becomes reality. Again I want to thank to everyone who was involved in this project! Soon you will hear about some promotional previews (hopefully on a lot of screens).

Thank u

Johannes Orthmayr

Buenos Aires

Hey chicos,
I was not blogging since Medellin. I went all the way back through Ecudor until Lima in Peru to get my plane to Buenos Aires. And here I am now, livng with to other guys in Palermo, a nice and quiet hood of BA. Last week I had a few visitors from Germany and we did a more or less traditional argentinian BBQ called Asado. The meat here is incredible. I will stay here the next 3 months to work on my movie and visit some lessons at the university. Party people we keep in touch.

Bye bye Lizbeth!

The last moments with Lisse, before she flew out to Peru. I am so sad!

Palomino

Lonely beachside at Palomino, which is a one hour busdrive away from Taganga.
Agressive Chillin´

Soundsystem

Every discotek got huge soundsystems where the selectas mostly play Salsa and Raggaton.
P.S.: I like the funny character!

Sundowner Taganga

Romantic moments in Taganga!

Lizbeth´s flowerpower

I learned during my travel with Lisse how to bake cornbread. And Lisse u know for teaching me these skills I am very thankful!

Pirates of the Caribian

Hey my dear fellas,
after Elisabeth picked me up in Ecuador, we traveled straight through to the caribian coast. We spent 4 days in buses, and arrived finally at the beautiful coastline of colombia. Our base was Taganga, from where we started our trips to the famous national parc "Tayrona" and little villages in direction to the venezuelanian border.

Guliver & Lizbeth united

Hola amigos,
my five week volunteership is now over here in the beautyful mountains of Izhcayluma. I made a lot of new connections all over the globe. For now I worked enough and feel new wind blowing into my sails. Elisabeth who is studying with me in Trier, came through to get me outta here! I swopped my heavy-duty horse "Sultan" into a motorcycle, which will hopefully take us to Colombia. Big kisses from Ecuador and some sunrays for the never ending winter in Europe.

Ecuador

Howdy Kids,
I guess everyone of you had a graceful start into 2010 and may all your wishes for this year will come true. After a big flood of tourists hit my chilling cave in Mancora, I felt a wind going thru my hear, telling me to move on. So I bought a horse named Sultan and rode a few days until I arrived in a secret spot in Ecuador. Here in Vilcabamba the grass is greener, the air is fresher and life is beautiful because of these circuumstances. Anyway I started a volunteer at a nice Hostal called Izhcayluma, which was set up by two german brothers in 2001. I am working as a waiter and a barkeeper. I will stay here five more weeks until my travel goes on to Colombia.

Much love Johannes
