The standart way of a design student at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier, is to graduate after 9 or 10 semestres. After the 5th or 6th semestre you normally go out of Trier for an apprenticeship in an advertising agency, or an external semestre on a partner university somewhere arround the globe. When I heared that you also can do your own project, I had the idea of shooting a film about Don Francisco Montes and his etnobotanical garden "Sachamama". I spent one week at Sachamama in summer 2008. The garden is situated in the middle of the rainforest 45 min. away from Iquitos (Northwest Peru). Along my journey last summer I became more and more fascinated by the subject of schamanism and the work of Don Francisco as a schaman. The Idea was born and a lot of paperwork and planning had to be done...See you soon! ;-)
